             abstract = "This work presents a method for recognition and location of 2D 
                         objects in digital images. This method utilizes features extracted 
                         from polygonal models of the objects, constructed by an algorithm 
                         described in previous work. The strategy used for recognizing the 
                         models, depends on whether the respective objects are isolated or 
                         superimposed in the image. An analytical discriminant function is 
                         used for this task, which expresses the accuracy of the matching 
                         between the features extracted from the objects and those 
                         extracted from the prototypes stored in the data base. 
                         Experimental results are presented for the method and conclusions 
                         are drawn.",
